Head of People & Culture
Opportunity Overview:
One of Czechia’s largest and most high-profile real estate companies is seeking a Director, Group Head of People & Culture. This role involves establishing a group-wide HR department. The role will involve all aspects of HR and people management but will also extend to enhancing communication among internal stakeholders and developing a company culture centered on efficiency, innovation, teamwork, respect, and personal growth.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a multinational company with operations across the CEE region, with a track record of bringing tangible value to the organization through the HR function. An entrepreneurial mindset is critical, given the need to establish the role from scratch and build a proper HR organization and internal communication apparatus within the company.
Team Structure:
With operations across multiple countries, the Group has local individuals responsible for HR but no cohesive HR strategy. The ideal candidate will be able to lead and organize these individuals into a high-functioning HR department with a clear group message and strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create the function of a Group Head of People & Culture covering policies and procedures, talent development, benchmarking and performance measurement, recruitment, employee engagement, and many other topics.
• Enhance internal communication and transmission of corporate culture and standards across the Group.
• Reporting and ESG matters: collect data and report employment and social information following the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), in addition to leading initiatives to improve the Social component of our Group’s ESG framework.
• Risk and compliance: ensure compliance with legislative and internal HR regulations.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar position.
- Fluent Czech or Slovak; fluent English.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrable experience in managing change and implementing HR strategies.
