Head of Business Development CEE

Based in Prague, Czech Republic



  • Focus on both new and established manufacturers (OEM’s) within these sectors:

    • Passenger car

    • Commercial vehicle

    • Off highway

    • Agriculture

    • Construction

    • Industrial

  • Responsible for order intake ensuring intake meets budget expectations, including growth plans

  • Comprehend trends and product development priorities globally with specific insights into target clients

  • Develop relationships with key clients; understand client strategies and product development priorities

  • Lead team to develop a continuous stream of qualified opportunities

  • Directly manage major and developing client accounts and coordinate the management of all other accounts

  • Seek out and targets new clients and new sales opportunities, initiate action plan to approach and secure new business for the company

  • Provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of the business development team, while maintaining focus on the strategic goals

  • Establish performance goals for territory team and continually monitors performance

  • Oversee talent attraction, development and retention activities within territory team

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Exceptional industry background including external client-focused role in OEM, Tier1, professional service and/or engineering service company

  • Relationships, credibility and trust across senior technical and commercial teams across automotive and/or industrial sectors

  • Broad technical knowledge in automotive propulsion systems, systems integration including conventional and electrified

  • Extensive and established network of contacts within the automotive and/or industrial sectors

  • High degree of resilience, energy and ability to work across multiple stakeholders

  • Experience in sales planning and execution

  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management

  • Ability to motivate cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality value propositions to tight timescales with unique client value

  • High level professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Fluent English (spoken and written) is essential; German language an advantage but not essential
